This later face-lifted version of the MK1 MR2, was introduced in August 1986.

There were many changes to this later type model including new interior, larger brakes, revised engine, wheels, additional spoilers and side skirts.

Also introduced is the T bar model, many with leather interior trim.

Important Note: This is the later version of MR2 MK1 from 08/86 on. Some people refer to this model as MK1b.
